Foundational Scripture

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give them will become in them
a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
— John 4:13,14

Who We Are

We are a community of believers, gathered together from a variety of social backgrounds.
We are held together by God’s grace, mercy and love. Through God’s love we continue the Great Commission in which our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, commissioned us in
Matthew 28:19 & 20 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

One of the most frequently asked questions in the church today is "Why join?"

We live in an age of non-joiners. Many are individuals who have an inherent distrust of "organized religion." Others simply seek to avoid life's responsibilities whether in the church, family or society as a whole.

The question still remains: "Why join?" The answer is that we are called to belong. It's true, when someone becomes a Christian they become an automatic part of the Kingdom of Heaven. So joining the church has nothing to do with salvation or eternal life. However, it is equally true, when you "got the Father" you "got the family."

A careful study of Scripture reveals that the Early Church organized itself in a local congregations with God-ordained leadership. These local congregations were regarded as the essential framework for discipleship. Every believer is called to belong to a local church.

The church is the God-ordained place of spiritually gifted ministry by those who are part of the team. All teams require commitment in order to function effectively. Membership is responding to the call to belong by making a commitment to teamwork within Wellspring Christian Church.
